RIVERHEAD -2010-

RIVERHEAD
This series of work is influenced by time spent in the Riverhead forest. The landscape is incredibly harsh, most of the trees lay dead after the logging industry has harvested the majority of the pine, leaving native trees stripped back and dying. I chose to depict this narrative to convey the haunting atmosphere of the location and the brutality of the creatures that inhabit this environment. After five years of no pest control against the foreign possum the native hawk thrives.
